Pentagon Awards Major Steel, Metals Contracts
09/30/2026 - The Defense Logistics Agency (DLA) awarded a combined US$1.8 billion in contracts to Metallus Inc., T&T Materials Inc. and TW Metals LLC to supply steel and other metals, Yahoo Finance reported.
The US$995 million five-year contract with Metallus is for High Fragmentation 1 Steel, used as a component in large-caliber artillery and mortar projectiles. It covers the U.S. Army, Marine Corps, Navy, Air Force and Space Force, Yahoo Finance reported.

T&T Materials and TW Metals were given a US$750 million contract to split for commercially available metal products. While it initially covers two years, there is the possibility of four two-year extensions. It covers the U.S. Army, Navy, Air Force and Marine Corps, Yahoo Finance reported.
