POSCO, HBIS Open JV Galvanizing Plant
10/23/2023 - A joint venture between South Korea’s POSCO and China’s HBIS Group is starting up a new galvanized sheet facility in China, reports The Korea Times.
According to the publication, the facility is a US$600 million investment between the two steelmakers and will produce corrosion-resistant steel for the automotive industry.
The plant “symbolizes the two steelmakers’ commitment to producing the world’s best automotive steel sheets,” POSCO Group chairman Choi Jeong-woo said during a 19 October ceremony.
