Posco, Nissan Enhance Partnership
11/09/2010 - Posco recently hosted the first technology-development meeting with the Japanese automaker at the Gwangyang Works’ R&D center. Representatives from Posco and Nissan discussed some common fields of interest, such as the use of high-strength steel for outer panels.
Posco recently hosted the first technology-development meeting with the Japanese automaker at the Gwangyang Works’ R&D center.
During the meeting, representatives from Posco and Nissan discussed some common fields of interest, such as reducing both weight and production cost of vehicles, use of high-strength steel for outer panels, and adoption of hot press-forming and TWIP steel-related technologies.
Posco says the technological event hosted together with Nissan will become a regular occurrence, in an effort to provide its business partners with customized services while strengthening its global supply network.
The Posco-Nissan event was also joined by representatives of Renault-Samsung Motors.
