Posco-China Recognized for Outreach Activities
12/08/2010 - Posco-China was recently named by Nanfang Daily among 100 foreign companies that significantly contribute in outreach activities in China. The daily newspaper in Guangzhou based its selection on business results, contribution to local communities, and brand image.
Posco-China was recently named by Nanfang Daily among 100 foreign companies that significantly contribute in outreach activities in China.
The daily newspaper based in Guangzhou selects 100 companies out of 500 every year. Criteria are based on business results, contribution to local communities, and brand image.
Posco-China, which won the award for the first time in 2008, has been given the honor for three consecutive years.
Since it was launched, the Chinese affiliate of Korea’s top steel company has been involved in a wide range of outreach activities, which include its support for Zzin-luoing Elementary School in Beijing.
In 2010, Posco-China helped the earthquake victims of Yushu County, Ching Hai Province, drought-stricken Xiu Ning County in Yunnan Province, and flood victims of Jilin Province, by providing money and daily necessities such as blankets and drinking water.
