Posco Receives Best Partner Award from Nitparts

Nitparts has honored Posco with its ‘Best Partner Award’ for stable and consistent supply of high quality automotive steel sheets.
Nitparts, established in 1938, is responsible for 25% of the world`s automotive spring market, making them the top automotive spring manufacturer in terms of market share. Posco began supplying materials to Nitparts in 2004, and has since provided the company with high quality automotive steel sheets. That supply became especially important last when the company suffered from a shortage in material supply due to high production demands.
Posco supplies stable material forming and distribution services through its processing centre in Nagoya, Yokohama, which specializes in automotive materials. In order to satisfy customers` standards, Posco has also continuously pursued technical developments for improved stability in material quality.

Posco was presented with the ‘Best Partner Award’ at the Nitpart Supplier’s meeting, in Yokohama, Japan. The ceremony was also attended by Kobe Steel, the largest stockholder, as well as 128 suppliers including Japanese steel mills.
“I’m very honored to have received this award,” commented Posco Japan Chairman Jang Byeong Hyo, receiving the award on behalf of Posco. He also promised that the company would continue its efforts for customer satisfaction.
