POSCO Restarts Rebuilt Blast Furnace
06/13/2022 - POSCO has blown in the refurbished No. 4 blast furnace at its Gwangyang Works, according to reports.
According to The Korea Post, the US$293 million project took approximately 18 months and reduces fine dust emissions by up to 90%.
“Today is the day when the Gwangyang No. 4 blast furnace was reborn,” POSCO Group chairman Choi Jeong-woo said during a ceremony, according to The Post.
