PosTech Signs MOU for Joint Research with ITB of Indonesia
08/22/2011 - PosTech recently signed an MOU/MOA with Institut Teknologi Bandung, pledging to promote joint research on steel technology that will be used at the Krakatau-Posco integrated mill.
PosTech recently signed an MOU/MOA with Institut Teknologi Bandung (ITB), a top university in Indonesia well-acknowledged for research, pledging to promote joint research on steel technology.
The two universities agreed to launch joint research activities on steel technology development, and also to exchanges of research staff. The new agreement also includes joint research related to ironmaking, steelmaking, rolling and other steelmaking technologies to be used at the Krakatau-Posco integrated mill.

The Krakatau-Posco mill is expected to contribute to stable operation of local integrated mills. The groups anticipate that the joint research activities will help to stimulate the development of steel technology experts, thus serving as a model for academic-industrial cooperation.
