Praxair India to Supply Tata Steel with Nitrogen
11/12/2010 - Praxair India has been associated with Tata Steel’s Jamshedpur facility since 2005 and has built three air separation units with a total capacity of 2625 tonnes per day that supply gaseous oxygen, nitrogen, and argon. Tata Steel has contracted Praxair India for an additional 600 tonnes per day of high-pressure gaseous nitrogen.
Praxair India has been associated with Tata Steel’s Jamshedpur facility since 2005 and has built three air separation units with a total capacity of 2625 tonnes per day that supply gaseous oxygen, nitrogen, and argon. Tata Steel has contracted Praxair India for an additional 600 tonnes per day of high-pressure gaseous nitrogen.
Praxair India has built large air separation units to supply industrial gases to companies such as JSW Steel, SAIL, Saint-Gobain Glass, Haldia Petrochemicals, and Hospet Steel. The company has also built non-cryogenic, vacuum pressure swing adsorption (VPSA) plants for Jindal Steel Power Ltd., Usha Martin, and others.
Praxair India is currently building a large facility to supply gaseous hydrogen and nitrogen to Indian Oil Corp. at Paradip, Orissa.
