The companies said the intended result is to create an accurate, repeatable and self-contained robotic solution for coil finishing. TrimRob would integrate into existing production lines with the ability to handle a wide range of product sizes and grades. 

TrimRob features a state-of-the-art system with a trimming end-effector. It can count individual coil rings, detect tangles and overlaps, and execute trimming and sampling without an operator. 

The product can improve safety, reduce maintenance and offer consistent product quality, the companies said.
