Primetals Technologies Opens Gulf Coast Service Hub
09/12/2025 - Primetals Technologies USA announced it has launched its first regional hub dedicated to supporting Gulf Coast steel producers with localized electrical and automation equipment services.
The new 5,000-square-foot facility near Mobile, Ala., will serve as a pilot site for a regional model aimed at faster response times, less downtime and delivering tailored solutions directly to customer sites. This marks a shift from centralized support at the company’s U.S. headquarters in Alpharetta, Ga.
“This new location enhances our ability to provide fast, localized support for automation systems, motor drives and power infrastructure,” said Brannon Moore, site leader of the new service hub.
The facility’s capabilities include skilled automation and power systems personnel; local project management and technology support; and spare parts consignment to reduce customer inventory and downtime.
“[The hub] enables us to execute small projects and upgrades with greater efficiency. With a more agile, customer-focused service model, we’re better positioned to support the needs of steel producers in this region,” Moore continued.
