Red Bud Delivers Cut-to-Length Line
06/20/2025 - Steel & Pipe Supply Co. has successfully installed a new Red Bud Industries cut-to-length line with a stretcher leveler at its Houston, Texas, USA, facility.
The company said the machine is capable of processing materials up to 9.5 mm thick by 1,888 mm wide. The line has a 12 m stretcher leveler with Quick Draw technology which reduces cycle times to about 7 seconds. It also features long-life metallic grippers to eliminate the need for cardboard inserts and can be used for about a year before being replaced.
A pop top straightener allows the entire top crown of the unit to open with the press of a button for quick access to the work rolls and backup for cleaning and maintenance. Red Bud’s dual direct drive roll feed and looping system allows material up to 9.5 mm thick to run in a loop for maximum throughput while stretching.
The full features include a coil stage and load system, 70,000 lb. capacity dual uncoilers, Red Bull’s Pop Top 7 roll precision straightener, TI stretcher leveler, Servo roll feed, 50-metric-ton shear and 9,144 mm strop stacker, the company said.
