In a statement, Steel Warehouse said it contracted with Red Bud Industries for the stretcher-leveler, which will be able to process sheet in thickness of up to .53 inches and in coil weights of up 42.5 tons. It also will be equipped to handle high-strength steel. 

“This equipment, along with our 1-by-96 inch temper pass cut-to-length line and .5-inch slitter and our blanking line in nearby Memphis create a significant strategic and logistical advantage for the customers of Steel Warehouse,” the company said in a statement.  

Steel Warehouse of Arkansas, part of the Lerman family group of companies, is located on the Big River Steel campus.
