Report: Indian Steelmaker Joins Group Bidding on Italian Steelworks
12/01/2016 - India’s JSW Steel has joined a group of investors looking to acquire Italy’s Ilva steel plant, according to the Reuters news service.
Citing an anonymouse source, Reuters said JSW is signing on with a group made up of Italian steelmaker Arvedi, Italian businessman Leonardo Del Vecchio, who founded the Luxottica Group, and a state lender.
A separate group made up of ArcelorMittal and steel processor Marcegaglia are also vying to take over the mill.
