Report: Nucor Withdraws Bid for Shuttered DRI Plant
09/06/2018 - Nucor Corp. reportedly has withdrawn its US$20 million offer for a shuttered direct-reduced iron pant in Trinidad and Tobago after growing frustrated by government delays, the Newsday newspaper reports.
Citing an unidentified source, Newsday said Nucor was awaiting a foreign investor license and backed away after it was repeatedly asked to provide "assurances" to the state.
