Report: The World Still Has Too Much Steel Capacity
10/11/2017 - The steel industry has about 330 million metric tons of capacity to spare, with more set to come on-line within the next two years, reports the Reuters news service.
“Excess capacity remains at alarmingly high levels,” said Lieven Top, chairman of the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development steel committee.
