Report: U. S. Steel, Cleveland-Cliffs at Odds in Sales Process
09/21/2023 - A dispute between Cleveland-Cliffs Inc. and United States Steel Corporation has emerged over a confidentiality arrangement, locking Cleveland-Cliffs out of a sales process that is underway, reports the Reuters news service.
Citing unidentified sources, Reuters said U. S. Steel is requiring Cleveland-Cliffs to sign a six-month standstill agreement as a condition to reviewing U. S. Steel’s books. But Cleveland-Cliffs is refusing to sign, Reuters said.
