RG Steel to Restart L-Blast Furnace at Sparrows Point
05/15/2012 - RG Steel issued a release that on May 12 the company was to restart its L Blast Furnace at Sparrows Point. The L Blast Furnace had been shut down on May 9 as scheduled for a routine maintenance outage.
RG Steel issued a release that on May 12 the company was to restart its L Blast Furnace at Sparrows Point. The L Blast Furnace had been shut down on May 9 as scheduled for a routine maintenance outage.
The company noted that the routine maintenance outage was a routine outage that would not have a detrimental effect on delivery performance to its customers.
Production is to resume at levels necessary to service customers. Sparrows Point has recently been operating at an annualized 3-million-ton rate.
In its release, the company expressed its appreciation for the continued support of its customers.
