SAIL Conducts Interactive Awareness Sessions

Steel Authority of India Ltd. (SAIL) organized various interactive sessions at its different plants and units across India as part of Vigilance Awareness Week from November 3-7. This year’s theme focused on effective preventive measures through system improvements and use of information technology to fight corruption.
 
The week was inaugurated in all units with a pledge taken by SAIL employees for remaining vigilant and eradicating corruption. SAIL Chairman S. K. Roongta administered the pledge at the Corporate Office, Ispat Bhavan.
 
Venugopal K Nair, Chief Vigilance Officer, informed employees about the proactive vigilance approach in SAIL. Awareness sessions on the RTI Act, Purchase & Contract procedures, and SAIL Conduct & Discipline Rules were held throughout the company.
 
The company notes that special focus was given to ensure active participation of school students in the various activities and competitions so that the ideas are learned during their formative years.
