Salzgitter AG Sells Klöckner DESMA Elastomertechnik GmbH to German-French Industrial Group
08/03/2026 - The Salzgitter Group announced it has sold Klöckner DESMA Elastomertechnik GmbH to NAME & MAWI Partners S.A.S. (NMP).
“Our goal is both to advance the implementation of the ‘Salzgitter AG 2030’ Group strategy and to create long-term, sustainable perspectives for our portfolio companies,” said Gunnar Groebler, chief executive officer of Salzgitter AG.
The companies said the sale is in accordance with the best owner principle. The transaction is expected to go through in fall 2026.
“In order to further meet our customers' growing market demand, we are focusing on expanding our production capacity and our international sales network…. Our joint international sales networks will enable us to continue strengthening our market position, particularly in our growth-strong markets — the U.S., India and China,” said Narith Meksavanh, chief executive officer of the NMP Group.
