Salzgitter AG Supervisory Board Elects New Chairwoman
03/19/2026 - Salzgitter AG announced its supervisory board elected Ulrike Brouzi as its new chairwoman, effective immediately.
Brouzi joined the supervisory board of Salzgitter AG on 23 May, 2013. She has a degree in business mathematics and is responsible for finance and compliance on the board of managing directors of DZ BANK AG in Frankfurt, Germany.
“In this position, Ms. Brouzi has been strongly committed to shaping and designing the course for the company in recent years. She is very familiar with the relevant processes, structures and the strategic direction of the Group and is therefore an excellent choice as chairwoman of the supervisory board,” said Gerald Heere, Lower Saxony’s finance minister, member of Salzgitter AG’s supervisory board and representative of the State of Lower Saxony.
After Heinz-Gerhard Wente stepped down, Hans-Jürgen Urban took over as interim deputy chairman of the supervisory board until the election.
