SGJT Hits Milestones on Danieli’s QSP-DUE® Technology
06/19/2026 - Danieli announced its QSP-DUE® technology has hit various industrial milestones at Sougang Jingtang United Iron & Steel (SGJT) in China.
The companies said the plant has produced over 10 million metric tons of hot-rolled steel. It has also produced over 420 metric tons of hot-rolled coils (HRC) within a single roll campaign with thicknesses of 0.8 mm or below in full endless mode. The process has allowed SGJT to industrialize ultrathin hot strip production.
Danieli said the technology expands ultrathin HRC portfolios, reduces downstream processing through cold rolling substitution, improves material yield, lowers energy consumption and lowers CO2 emissions.
