Sidenor Awards MultiServ a Five-Year Mill Services Contract
09/01/2004 - Harsco Corp.’s MultiServ mill services division has been awarded a new five-year contract covering a range of on-site mill services at the Sidenor Group's Reinosa steel works in northern Spain.
Harsco Corp.’s MultiServ mill services division has been awarded a new five-year contract covering a range of on-site mill services at the Sidenor Group's Reinosa steel works in northern Spain.
MultiServ will take over on-site responsibility for slag pot carrying services, metal recovery, and various logistic services that include the internal transport of scrap and semi-finished products. Work under the contract is now underway.
With the addition of the Reinosa works, MultiServ now supports all of the Sidenor Group's steel-producing facilities throughout Spain and Brazil. The new contract, valued in excess of $10 million over its term, is expected to generate positive Economic Value Added (EVA(r)) benefit for Harsco from its first year of operation.
