In a statement, Ravne Systems said the ladle car has a load capacity of 170 tons and moves at a speed of 20 m/min. It is driven by two 18.5 kW motors. The car features an automatic on-line ladle weighing system; track cleaners; and a folding platform for easier access to weighing cells.

The company received the order in September 2017, and within four months, took the turnkey project from conceptual design to on-site installation. 

“We started the project with the goal fulfilling all the requirements from SIJ Acroni, including a short and reliable delivery time. Efficiency, reliability and durability were our key points from the beginning till the end,” the company said. 

SIJ Acroni manufactures stainless and special steel sheet.
