SMS group Launches X-Pact® Digital Hub
11/19/2025 - SMS group announced it has launched its new software ecosystem, the X-Pact® Digital Hub, to serve as a milestone technology to support the metals industry’s shift to autonomous production.
The company said the software ecosystem offers seamless data integration, scalability and a holistic user experience that can consolidate SMS’s applications and third-party software into one platform. It can aggregate all data and integrate level 1 HMIs along with level 2 and level 3 applications to improve operational flows and production efficiency.
“By consolidating applications, data flows, user experience and intelligent services, we are converging the worlds of automation and digitalization. The X-Pact® Digital Hub thus drives productivity, resilience and sustainability for our customers to the next level,” said Thiago Turchetti Maia, executive vice president of automation, digital and service solutions for SMS group GmbH.
The X-Pact Digital Hub integrates over 300 industrial software applications. It facilitates the exchange of data, adheres to common standards and ensures interoperability to maximize the value of applications and eliminate the inefficiencies of isolated systems, the company said.
The software ecosystem features a single-entry point, unified interface and consistent workflows to simplify access to all functionalities. Users can enter text prompts to automate routine decisions including triage and classification. Voice interfaces provide hands-free status checks, commands, and operational guidance in plants and field operations.
