SSAB to Help Build Fossil-Free-Steel Heat Exchanger
05/31/2022 - SSAB will collaborate with heat transfer, centrifugal separation and fluid handling specialist Alfa Laval on building the world’s first heat exchanger to made from fossil-free steel, the steelmaker has said.
According to SSAB, the goal is to complete the first such heat exchanger by next year.
“We´re proud to welcome Alfa Laval as a partner and look forward to jointly exploring ways forward to mitigate climate change,” said SSAB president and chief executive Martin Lindqvist. “With this collaboration we´re reaching new segments, and hopefully inspiring a whole new range of customers.”
