Stainless Producer Sheds Indiana Plate Mill
01/25/2017 - Outokumpu has divested its Indiana quarto plate mill for approximately EUR28 million, the stainless steelmaker has announced.
The mill was sold to its current management team and D’Orazio Capital Partners, a Chicago-based private equity firm.
Quarto plate is a thicker, wider hot-rolled product made from slabs. It typically is used to make large storage tanks, pulp towers and oil and gas pipes, among other things.
