YTD Stainless, Specialty Imports Still Down Through July

13 November 2009 - Total stainless imports reached 206,931 tons through July 2009, a 57.1% decrease compared to YTD July 2008 according to the latest report from SSINA. Total specialty imports reached 275,032 tons through the same period, a 55.2% decrease compared to YTD July 2008.

Steel Import Permits Rise 16% in October

05 November 2009 - Steel import permit applications reached 1,491000 net tons for the month of October, a 16% increase from the 1,283,000 permit tons recorded in September 2009 according to the latest report from AISI.

Preliminary Steel Imports Increase 23% in September
