Steel Plate Mill Employs Danieli Shear

12/15/2020 - French plate producer Laminoirs des Landes has commissioned a Danieli-built hydraulic hot shear at its Tarnos facility.  According to Danieli, the shear can cut hot plate up to 50 mm thick and 3,500 mm wide.

“The new shear is powered by two hydraulic cylinders (designed in-house), each fed individually by servovalves and controlled for position and force. Thanks to the hydraulic knife-angle and knife-gap adjustment systems, the machine is able to perform an optimal cut with excellent edge quality for thick and thin products,” Danieli said.
