Stein Heurtey to Build Three Vertical Furnaces for Masteel

Ma Steel International Trade and Economic Corp. at Maanshan, P.R. China, awarded two new contracts to Stein Heurtey for the supply of three vertical furnaces for their new Cold Rolling Mill 2130.

The first order includes a vertical furnace which will feature the latest Digiflex® technology for a 937,000 tonnes/year continuous annealing line for automotive sheets. This furnace will be the first in China equipped with the ultra-rapid Flash Cooling® system (under high H2 content atmosphere) for processing high strength steel sheets as required by the automotive market.

The second order includes two vertical furnaces for the new Hot Dip Galvanizing Lines No. 1 (460,000 tonnes/year) and No. 2 (410,000 tonnes/year) of the Cold Rolling Mill 2130. The furnaces will be fitted with after-pot cooling sections and will also incorporate the latest Digiflex technologies. Both furnaces will utilize the unique Stein Heurtey pulse-fired combustion system, which is digitally controlled by an expert level 2 optimization system.

Stein Heurtey is already under contract with Masteel for a vertical furnace for the Automotive Galvanizing Line No. 2 of CRM1.
