“Our TCCT technology enables sustainable production of packaging steel and ensures compliance with future chemical-use legislation (REACH). This is not only good news for the environment but also for our employees, as it makes work safer,” said Arne Hoogervorst, manager of packaging at Tata Steel Nederland. 

The company said the TCCT technology allows them to make packaging steel more sustainably while complying with future legislation. They estimate over 95% of packaging steel is recycled into new steel.

Tata Steel Nederland holds the patent for the product and is the sole developer. TCCT technology is supplied to other steel producers throughout Europe.
