Tenova Goodfellow has received a purchase order from Sumitomo Shoji Machinex Co., Ltd., on behalf of AICHI Steel, to supply one Goodfellow EFSOP® holistic optimization system for the AICHI plant in Tokai-Shi, Aichi-Ken, Japan.
EFSOP will be installed on the 150-tonne electric arc furnace and will include online exhaust gas monitoring.
Tenova Goodfellow’s proprietary system involves hardware and software technology that continuously samples furnace off-gas and uses this off-gas analysis along with real-time operating data from select process points to provide dynamic process control and optimization.
Installation and commissioning of the EFSOP system at AICHI Steel is scheduled for the summer of 2012.
