Tenova Takraf to Supply Giant Iron Ore Stacker for Vale

Companhia Vale do Rio Doce (Vale) recently awarded Tenova Takraf an order for an iron ore stacker to be installed at its facility at Ponta de Madeira Terminal, Brazil.
As part of this order, Tenova Takraf will supply on a turnkey basis a new giant iron ore stacker. The stacker features a 55-meter boom, and will have a nominal capacity of 16,000 tonnes/hour and project capacity of 20,000 tonnes/hour.
The machine, which is part of Vale’s plans to expand the Ponta de Madeira terminal in São Luís to 130 million tonnes/year, is expected to be delivered in 730 days.
