Tenova to Modernize Tenaris’ EAF at Koppel Steel Mill
06/29/2026 - Tenova announced it will supply the modernization of the electric arc furnace (EAF) at Tenaris’ steel mill in Koppel, Pa., USA.
Tenova said it will provide engineering, equipment supply and commissioning services. One of the key revamps will be implementing an advanced water flow measurement system for the furnace upper shell.
“Projects like this reflect our shared commitment to innovation and to supporting the long-term competitiveness of steel production. Executing the project entirely in the United States — from engineering to manufacturing — will also ensure close coordination with the customer and efficient project delivery,” said Francesco Memoli, chief executive officer of Tenova Inc.
The project is a part of Tenaris’ US$90 million planned investments in the Koppel steel shop and seamless pipe facility in Ambridge, Pa., USA.
