To Meet Demand, JSW Steel Plans Steel Capacity Increase of Nearly 17M Tons

05/14/2026 - India’s largest steelmaker is allotting upwards of US$2.5 billion for capital projects as the country’s infrastructure build-out pushes up steel demand.

According to the Bloomberg news service, JSW Steel plans to grow capacity from 31.9 million metric tons to 48.8 million metric tons by 2030.
