According to Danieli, Danieli Automation will equip the plant with its Q-ASC (Automatic Scrap Classification) system, which uses machine learning technology to classify the incoming scrap that feeds the plant’s electric arc furnace.

Danieli said the system provides real-time feedback to yard operators and can help objectify claims made to suppliers.
