Transformer Fire Damages Finnish Mill
06/12/2018 - A transformer fire has knocked a portion of SSAB’s strip and tube mill in Hämeenlinna, Finland, offline, the company disclosed on Tuesday.
In a statement, the steelmaker said its cold rolling unit will be down for a few days as crews make repairs.
"Galvanized and color-coated products will soon be able to be produced at a normal speed, but cold rolling will run at a limited capacity initially," the company said.
No injuries were reported, the company said.
