Tyasa Turns to Danieli Centro Maskin for New Pinion/Rack Drawing Bench
08/21/2025 - Mexican steelmaker Tyasa has turned to Danieli Centro Maskin for a new patented pinion/rack drawing bench for its plant in Veracruz, Mexico.
Danieli said the new 60-metric-ton bar-to-bar drawing line will process bars with diameters from 18 to 65 mm at speeds up to 35 m per minute. It is estimated the new technology will result in a reduction of noise pressure up to -50 dB and reduce power consumption by up to 30%.
The scope of supply includes the loading area, shot blasting unit, 60-metric-ton double-strand drawing bench, cut-to-length unit, fully electric chamfering unit, nondestructive testing, and automatic packing and unloading area.
Danieli Automation will be integrated into a user-friendly interface for easier and safer operations.
Tyasa previously ordered a special bar quality rolling mill, bar heat treating and bar finishing services from Danieli.
All the new equipment is estimated to be in operation by mid-2026.
