U. S. Steel Proposes Labor Agreement to USW
07/22/2026 - United States Steel Corporation announced it has proposed a new five-year labor agreement to the United Steelworkers (USW) union, with in-person discussions scheduled to follow.
The company said the proposal includes both compensation and benefits while supporting job security and labor stability.
In-person discussions will continue throughout the week while bargaining will occur between 27 July and 7 August. Both the U. S. Steel and USW teams will go to Pittsburgh, Pa., USA, for additional in-person negotiations on 10 August.
