UHT to Deliver AOD Converter to Specialty Steelmaker in India
09/30/2014 - Danieli has awarded UHT the order for the supply of an AOD as a part of Danieli’s project for two new meltshops and one heavy bar mill for specialty and stainless steel at Bhushan Power & Steel Ltd, Jharsuguda, Orissa state, India.
The UHT scope includes engineering and equipment, such as a gas mixing station, hydraulic converter tilting and is complete with automation and level 2 real-time UTCAS® process control.
UHT, which prior to 2007 was called Uddeholm Technology, is a privately owned and independent company based in Sweden. The company develops, designs and delivers AOD & CLU® converter refining plants and GRANSHOT® metal granulation units to the iron, stainless steel and ferroalloy industry worldwide.
