USW, Rocky Mountain Steel Reach Collective Bargaining Agreement
09/08/2026 - Rocky Mountain Steel Mills announced it has reached a new five-year collective bargaining agreement with the United Steelworkers (USW).
The agreement will increase wages, guarantee bonuses, pension benefits and work environments. It also offers healthcare coverage at no monthly cost to employees, spouses or dependents.
"Our team members are the foundation of everything we do at Rocky Mountain Steel Mills, and this agreement recognizes the skill, dedication and hard work they bring to this business every day,” said Eric Shuster, president of Rocky Mountain Steel Mills.
“Our members work hard, they care deeply about this mill and this community, and they deserve an agreement that recognizes their contributions. We believe this contract does that while giving us a strong foundation to continue building the future of steelmaking in Pueblo. This contract sets all of us up for a successful next five years,” said Eric Ludwig, president of USW Local 2102.
"For the second time this decade, the Steelworkers have helped ensure that Pueblo's manufacturing industry remains a key part of the local economy," said Charles Perko, president of USW Local 3267.
The agreement covers about 900 employees at the Pueblo steel mill and front office. It will go into effect on 11 September 2026.
