USW Members Approve Labor Contract at Universal Stainless Mill
10/05/2018 - Hourly employees at Universal Stainless & Alloy Products Inc.’s Bridgeville, Pa., USA, mill have ratified a new labor agreement, the steelmaker has announced.
According to Universal Stainless, the five-year agreement with United Steelworkers Local 9531 maintains the flexible work rule terms and profit-sharing incentives contained in the prior agreement.
The agreement is retroactive to 1 September, when the previous deal expired. Employees had been working under a contract extension.
“We are pleased that we have a new labor agreement at our Bridgeville facility that is in the best interests of our employees, customers and shareholders,” said Universal Stainless president and chief executive Dennis Oates.
