Valin Xiangtan Starts Up New Large Bloom Caster From Danieli
10/09/2019 - The caster is the first in the world operating with different withdrawal units to perform simultaneous soft and hard reduction, according to the supplier.
The brand-new, 14-m 5-strand bloom caster is capable of producing a wide range of steel grades, including high-alloyed and high-carbon spring steels in square and rectangular sections measuring 280 x 280 and 350 x 430 mm.
Full commissioning is expected to be completed soon.
