Vallourec Hosts French President at Valinox Nucléaire Plant

Vallourec recently hosted a visit from French President Nicolas Sarkozy to its Valinox Nucléaire subsidiary in Montbard (Côte d’Or, France). The company says that the visit recognized its contribution to French nuclear industry excellence and its role in regenerating the local economy.
 
Vallourec is carrying out an €80 million investment program at the site to extend the manufacturing capacity for the advanced technology tubes used in nuclear power plants. This project is expected to create 150 direct jobs.
 
The Valinox Nucléaire plant in Montbard will be able to produce 5000 km of tubes per year by 2011, a threefold increase on current output, and will employ a total workforce of 480.
