voestalpine to Produce Axle Components for Daimler Trucks
12/28/2010 - voestalpine Anarbeitung GmbH has secured a contract with Daimler Trucks for the production of axle components, lasting for several years. The "alphas - forming" reforming process, patented by voestalpine Anarbeitung, will be used to manufacture the components.

The axle components created by Daimler are used, for example, in the flagship Mercedes Benz Actros. The components will be completed at the Daimler axle plant in Kassel after being integrated at the assembly plant in Wörth. With 11,000 employees, Wörth is Daimler Trucks’ largest and most modern assembly plant.
This contract has enabled voestalpine Anarbeitung to enter the component and component manufacturing sector for the first time and establish itself as a major supplier in the European commercial vehicle market.
