12/19/2018 - A research and development manager Nippon Steel & Sumikin Metal Products Co. in Japan reportedly has found an answer to a vexing transportation problem: why do so many deer stand on railroad tracks only to be struck by trains?
The answer, as The Asahi Shimbun newspaper reports: they’re drawn to the iron in the tracks.
