AK Steel Banks Michigan Blast Furnace
03/31/2020 - With the COVID-19 pandemic having brought North American auto production to a halt, AK Steel is temporarily idling its Dearborn Works in Michigan, reports Fastmarkets AMM.
“Once automotive production comes back on-line, we’ll be able to restart Dearborn and ramp up,” Patricia Persico, director of corporate communications for AK Steel parent Cleveland-Cliffs Inc., told the publication.
