Anben Iron & Steel Co. recently started industrial production of its 490,000 tonnes/year No. 1 Continuous Hot Dip Galvanizing Line.

The installation was carried out jointly with Siemens VAI, Linz, as Consortium leader, and the mechanical and electrical partner.

Anben’s new Digiflex^® furnace includes the latest technologies developed by Stein Heurtey, including a jet pre-heating section, pulse-fired radiant tube furnace, and a rapid cooling section. The unit also includes induction boosting suitable for automotive sheet production, and an after-pot cooling tower with a galvannealing heating and soaking section.

The unit will process strip ranging in width from 800 to 1,870 mm with a thickness of 0.4 to 2.5 mm, at a maximum speed of 180meters/minute.

Anben’s CGL No. 1 is located in the city of Benxi, in the Liaoning province, which is a major steel production city in northern China.
