Arcelor Mittal Grants Final Approval for Tenova Walking Beam Furnace
07/07/2008 - ArcelorMittal grants final acceptance to Tenova LOI Italimpianti Genoa for the 450 tonne/hour walking beam furnace at the new MSPKK Hot Strip Mill located in Krakow, Poland.
ArcelorMittal has granted Tenova LOI Italimpianti Genoa the FAC Certificate for the 450 tonne/hour walking beam furnace at the new MSPKK Hot Strip Mill located in Krakow, Poland. The final acceptance was granted four months from the startup.
Tenova’s scope, which was included in Siemens VAI package, included engineering, supply and supervision services for erection & commissioning. The new furnace is equipped with the latest Tenova technologies, including FlexyTech® Low-NOx burners, which achieved significantly lower emissions than the values guaranteed.
Tenova noted the great efforts of the project team involved in the project in meeting both the project schedule and the facility’s expectations.
