ArcelorMittal Kryviy Rih Steel Bars Named Best Domestic Product
08/31/2010 - Deformed reinforcing steel bars produced by OJSC ArcelorMittal Kryviy Rih were recently recognized in Ukraine as a “Best domestic product 2010” after receiving high marks in product quality, domestic and foreign sales, and positive feedback from customers, among other categories.
Deformed reinforcing steel bars produced by OJSC ArcelorMittal Kryviy Rih were recently recognized in Ukraine as a “Best domestic product 2010” after receiving high marks in product quality, domestic and foreign sales, and positive feedback from customers, among other categories.
Steel bars produced by ArcelorMittal Kryviy Rih are used in the construction of multi-floor buildings and other “technically advanced objects” such as new stadiums in Kyiv and Lviv, and a new airport in Lviv. Deformed reinforcing steel bar with screw thread is used for mine working support, underground and bridge building.
Vasyl Kucher, Director for Quality, ArcelorMittal Kryviy Rih, said: “Our products are certified by national standards not only in Ukraine, but in many other countries; overall it meets requirement of 21 different standards in 13 countries. Our products have high demand both on domestic and on external markets and are sold to 62 countries.”
OJSC “ArcelorMittal Kryviy Rih” (www.arcelormittal.com.ua) is a leader of the national steel producing and mining industry, ensuring nearly 20% of metal production in Ukraine. Deformed reinforcing steel bars are one of the company’s main types of product. It claims to have produced 60% of reinforcing steel bars in Ukraine in 2009.
