Baosteel European, Japanese Branches Cope with Cold Weather, Snow

Baosteel's overseas branches have recently been impacted by a severe cold spell invasion in European countries and heavy snowfall in Japan. The severe weather has brought inconvenience to the local people's work and life.
 
In recent days, several European countries, particularly Eastern European countries suffer from rare cold spell attacks and Japanese locations have been impacted by strong snowfall in northeastern Japan, resulting in the loss of personnel and property.
 
Baosteel Europe GmbH (Baosteel Europe) keeps abreast of the weather in the company’s Hamburg headquarters and other business-related European countries. Poland has been severely affected by the cold spell, where the recent minimum temperature has reached minus 30 degrees Celsius. Baosteel Europe has contacted its employees in Poland, specifically telling them to pay attention to weather changes, protect themselves from cold weather and to minimize outdoor activities. Baosteel Europe also monitors heating of accommodations for the headquarters and overseas staff, ensuring that employees can live in a warm and comfortable environment. At present, the coldness prevention measures are in place and employees' work and life are going on as usual.
 
Similarly, Howa-Trading in Asia, in addition to observing the weather changes, also asks employees to do more exercise as well in an effort to keep warm. The company also prepares relevant medical care for the staff and asks individual employees with flu symptoms to take timely rest.
